PML designed these valve covers for Chevy™ 348 or 409 W block engines. The clean design works well in restorations and vehicles where script or fins is not desired.

PML fits each valve cover made on a 348 stock head during manufacturing. This verifies that the covers fit.

Dimensions: Click here for dimensions. Valve covers are approximately 4.1 inches tall.

Finishes: Read about finishes and construction of PML parts.

PML designed these valve covers for the classic hot rods of the 1950s and 1960s with the 348 or 409 Chevy™ W block engine. The clean design works well in restorations and vehicles where script or fins is not desired.

Benefits:

  • Plain top for customization or clean appearance
  • Heavy duty sand-cast aluminum construction
  • Thick walls for strength
  • Gasket flange will not bend or flex when bolts are tightened for a secure seal
  • Mounting hardware included

Some customers engrave or put a their own custom design on the top. Because PML valve covers have thick walls, the top surface is suitable for this.

The flat area on top of the covers is approximately 18 by 1 1/2 inches.

Because these are sand castings, the as-cast finish parts will not be smooth as they will have a texture of sand. Read about finishes and construction of PML parts.

Gaskets

Gaskets are not included with these valve covers. PML recommends cork composite gaskets for these valve covers. Some trimming may be needed to make a gasket fit correctly.

PML offers cork composite gaskets for these valve covers. The PML gaskets are 0.180 inch thick.
