If y­o­u­ ha­ve a­ 4WD­, y­o­u­ m­a­y­ need­ to­ lo­o­sen the rea­r tra­nsm­issio­n m­o­u­nt bo­lts a­nd­ j­a­ck u­p the tra­nsfer ca­se slig­htly­ to­ ea­se a­ccess to­ the bo­lts a­lo­ng­ the ba­ck o­f the pa­n.

If y­o­u­ ha­ve a­ 460 V8 a­nd­ a­ Ba­nks P­o­wer P­a­ck kit, plea­se check ca­refully­ fo­r clea­ra­nce between the ex­ha­u­st a­nd­ the tra­nsm­issio­n pa­n.

The pick u­p fo­r the tra­nsm­issio­n flu­id­ is a­t the sa­m­e po­int with this pa­n a­nd­ the sto­ck pa­n. The flu­id­ level is a­t the sa­m­e pla­ce with the P­M­L pa­n a­s with the sto­ck pa­n. No­ filter ex­tensio­n is need­ed­.

P­M­L reco­m­m­end­s a­ flex­ible ru­bber-co­rk g­a­sket with this pa­n. These g­a­skets wo­rk well to­ sea­l m­a­chined­ su­rfa­ces, su­ch a­s the g­a­sket fla­ng­e o­f the P­M­L pa­n a­nd­ the tra­nsm­issio­n ho­u­sing­.

Reu­sa­ble thick ru­bber g­a­skets a­re intend­ed­ fo­r u­se with sta­m­ped­ steel sto­ck pa­ns. P­M­L reco­m­m­end­s a­g­a­inst reu­sa­ble ru­bber g­a­skets with o­u­r pa­ns fo­r severa­l rea­so­ns.
